As a previously Convicted Felon and BRIM’S Founder, Milton B Joyner Sr. experienced the hardships of re-entry into a society that often turned its back on him because of his past criminal history.

He thus found it necessary to form an organization that would “Effectively Address” the issues for individuals such as himself, who served their time with exemplary honor as a role model inmate and found themselves released into society and determined to follow the right paths for positive societal assimilation but experienced the negative and prejudicial nature of employers in the employment market who more often than not choose to hire an individual without a criminal past.

The BRIM Life-Course Development Group Incorporated does just that!

Mr. Joyner has created a system comprised of Bridging the Gap between the Individuals need to successfully transition into society, and the necessity of Employment and Employment Training, Housing, Life Management Skills, Rational Emotive Decision Making, Technical support, and Entrepreneurial Opportunities needed to succeed in doing so.

Upon his release from the Federal Penitentiary, Mr. Joyner enrolled in CCAC/Community College of Allegheny County’s Social Work Tech Program where he furthered his quest to educate himself, beyond personal experience, on the issues of Social Integration and graduated with an Associates-Degree amongst the top of his class as a Social Work Technician.

Having done so, Mr. Joyner believed he could be of assistance to individuals like himself. Certified on a professional level as well as being experienced on a personal level has allowed him to understand the woes experienced by many individuals facing Pre-Entry and Re-Entry into society after criminal conduct that leads to being charged with or convicted of a crime.

Now an Ordained Minister and Entrepreneur himself, Mr. Joyner is ready to lead the fight of changing lives to help heal the blight of criminality and its effect on Society.
